Situated around 12 miles from the northern side of Samui in the Gulf of Siam is the island of Koh Phangan. Being generally much more quieter and relaxed than Samui, just with the exception of the Full Moon beach party that attracts every month a estimated number of 5 - 10,000 visitors come on the island for the famous full moon in Haad Rin Nok.
One exemption from the otherwise relaxed and quite island is the Full moon party when Haad Rin Nok transforms to a dance clubs constructed of sand. If you dislike huge party's or very loud music, don't worry on Kho Phangan are a lot natural spots, that are easy to reach like fishing spots, fishing spots and fruit garden in the hills.
